“We are a Portuguese company that has developed a solution to right a wrong: reusing waste vegetable oil and transforming it into wax to create responsibly produced scented candles. Developed and produced in Portugal, we have a diversified product line, adapted and personalised to the needs of our customers.
These circular products are designed to offer a unique and truly sustainable experience for an increasingly environmentally conscious citizen. Our mission is to contribute to the preservation of our ecosystems by diverting a common waste stream and removing the need to use natural resources in the creation of candles, thus lowering carbon emissions and reducing water contamination.
We wish to create the scent of doing good and that’s why we called our brand “The Greatest Candle In The World”.” (Rui)

Method of Creation
“We transform cooking oil waste collected in hotels and restaurants around Portugal into scented candles in a very simple and responsible process. By using materials that would otherwise be disposed of and upcycling them into an improved product, we are lowering the need to use natural raw materials. The majority of the components used in our products are made in Portugal. ” (Rui)
Use & Maintenance
“For a perfect long burn do not burn the candle for more than 3 to 4 hours in a row. Whenever you rekindle the candle, trim the wick leaving about 5 mm in height, this prevents it from releasing black smoke. Always extinguish the candle with a snuffer, thus avoiding the release of smoke and odors. If you do not have a candle snuffer, cover the candle with a lid and wait for the flame to go out. The use of a snuffer will also serve to remove the carbon bulbs (soot) from the wick.” (Rui)
