    Brand Story

"When we conceived our brand in 2018, our goal was to create a healthy and minimalist shoe that looked great and was entirely made of natural materials.
The combination of our knowledge as designers, dancers, yogis, nature lovers and travellers was the start of an enriching journey, which resulted in our comfortable, versatile and stylish minimalist shoes.
We launched our brand via a crowdfunding campaign, which was successfully funded in the beginning of 2019. Since then, we have kept working tirelessly to find the best materials and designs for our shoes, for the environment and for you!" (Marta & Madlen)

    Purpose & Mission

"Our mission is to develop shoes that are a healthier alternative to the usual stiff, hard and restrictive conventional footwear.
Our experience of working with the textile and apparel industry gave us valuable insights of how we can contribute to the change of social and environmental standards. Championing values of transparency and consciousness.
Our healthy and comfortable shoes, follow the following standards:
Natural textiles (using hemp, linen, organic and upcycled cotton)
The leather used is solely sourced within the EU and isn’t treated with chromium
Natural rubber soles or recycled rubber
    Minimum use of water-based glue
Water saving textile dyes, GOTS certified (no GMO pigments)
    Whenever possible source deadstock materials
Natural waxes and resins for water repellent items
Fair and certified manufacturing conditions in Portugal
Portuguese or European Suppliers for our fabric and accessories

As we are based in Portugal, all designs are developed in-house and we follow all production processes closely. We support local producers to avoid long transport distances. We work with a small family business of shoe manufacturers with generations of experience in handcrafting shoes.
Our stock is also managed and handled in-house and distributed directly to our clients." (Marta & Madlen)
